Michelle is a Dublin-based artist and freelance graphic designer with over 25 years of industry experience.
She studied Fine Art (Painting) at DIT Mountjoy Square, where her love for color, composition, and expressive mark-making began. Though her passion was rooted in painting, she went on to build a successful career in graphic design, working across brand identity, print, publishing, and digital media. In 2020, following redundancy during the pandemic, Michelle launched Shellspace, her own design studio dedicated to creating thoughtful, purpose-driven design that helps brands tell their stories with clarity and confidence.
That same year, she also rekindled her love for painting, embracing acrylics as her main medium. Her abstract landscapes draw inspiration from the beauty of everyday life — the shifting light, changing skies, and quiet transitions of nature. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for life’s simple moments and aims to offer a sense of calm and connection. She also paints pet portraits and accepts commissions for original artworks.
Balancing both art and design, Michelle brings creativity, empathy, and purpose to everything she creates. When she’s not in the studio, she can often be found on her road bike, training for long-distance endurance rides or simply just enjoying the view!
